The bottom of the Singapore Premier League (SPL) table is a dark place but, with a flurry of signings, 2018 cellar dwellers Hougang United are hoping that the 2019 season will be a bright one.

Experienced players, like Singapore international midfielders Zulfahmi Arifin and M. Anumanthan will be returning from Thai League side Chonburi and SPL rivals Home United respectively, in addition to prolific striker Stipe Plazibat.
