Commitment & talent development are key for ex-England captain if he is the new coach

Former England captain and ex-Scotland assistant manager Terry Butcher has thrown his name into the hat for the vacant Singapore football coach post.

The 59-year-old, who managed English side Sunderland and Scottish clubs Motherwell and Inverness Caledonian Thistle but is currently unemployed, told The Straits Times on Saturday that he has sent in an application to the Football Association of Singapore (FAS).
