The French flags lining the Champs-Elysees are doing double duty this year, standing as symbols of national pride on its National Day weekend - while cheering on France's football team as they play in the World Cup final today.

The weekend's packed festivities began with the Bastille Day parade yesterday, marked with a military parade down the world-famous boulevard.
