Albirex Niigata's players and staff celebrating with the S-League trophy despite being thrashed 5-1 by Tampines Rovers in the final match of the season at Jalan Besar Stadium last night. The Japanese developmental side had sealed their first S-League title on Oct 14, while Tampines finished second in the nine-team standings for the second year in a row. The White Swans, who won the League Cup in July, can clinch an unprecedented sweep of all three domestic football titles if they beat the Stags in the Singapore Cup final on Saturday.
