As if Liverpool do not have enough to celebrate, they can savour an anniversary today.

The signing of Virgil van Dijk was completed on New Year's Day in 2018. There is no doubt the Dutchman has been a transformative figure in his two years at Anfield. The scourge of strikers is a one-man rebuttal to the theory that the top clubs should sit out the January transfer window.
