Singapore national football coach Bernd Stange has called up Tampines Rovers midfielder Shahdan Sulaiman to replace injured captain Shahril Ishak for upcoming away friendlies against China (Sept 6) and Hong Kong (Sept 10).
Shahril suffered a muscle tear at the right hip area while playing for the LionsXII team against Perak on last week.
Shahdan, 25, was a first-team regular for the Lions during their triumphant AFF Suzuki Cup last December.
Meanwhile, Home United's Ismail Yunos has also withdrawn from the national squad, after suffering a hamstring injury during the S-League clash against Harimau Muda B on Aug 26. However, no replacement has been named yet.
