THE question of who will succeed V. Sundramoorthy as LionsXII coach will be answered in the next few days.
And with the Football Association of Singapore promising an announcement before the month is out, the front runners are Fandi Ahmad and Richard Bok.
Fandi is available after leaving Malaysian Super League side Johor Darul Takzim in August and boasts a coaching resume that included two S-League titles with Singapore Armed Forces FC (now known as Warriors FC).
The 51-year-old was former national coach Raddy Avramovic's right-hand man as the Lions lifted the 2004 Asean Football Federation Cup and led the Young Lions - the Republic's Under-23 side - to two third-place finishes in the domestic league.
Bok is a three-time S-League Coach of the Year and the most successful coach in S-league history with four titles.
There were over 70 applicants for the post.
