TRABZON, Turkey (AFP) - Portuguese international defender Jose Bosingwa was in Turkey on Saturday to finalise his move from Queens Park Rangers to top-flight Turkish football club Trabzonspor.
Trabzonspor have not indicated details of a proposed deal for the 30-year-old, who won the Champions League with Porto and Chelsea but the Dogan press agency reported that agreement was close.
Bosingwa endured relegation from the English Premier League with QPR last season and also courted controversy after refusing to be a substitute in mid-season.
He now heads to a club who have won six league titles but who last season placed ninth, although they did reach the Turkish Cup final and qualified for the Europa League.
