Football: FAS to hold Under-14 and Under-16 national team trials for girls

SINGAPORE- The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) will conduct trials to select players for the national Under-14 and Under-16 girls teams from Sept 8-10.

The trials, open only to Singapore citizens, will be held at the Jalan Besar Stadium from 3-5pm on those days. Participants are only required to attend one day of the trials and are to be ready at the pitch by 3pm.

Selected players can look forward to representing the nation at the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U-14 girls' Regional Championship Asean next June and the AFC U-16 Women's Championship 2017 Qualification Round next October.

For the U-14 trials, girls must be born between Jan 1, 2002 and Dec 31, 2004, both dates inclusive. For the U-16s, girls must be born between Jan 1, 2001 and Dec 31, 2003, both dates inclusive.

Selected players will have to attend training every Monday and Friday from 5-7pm at Woodlands Stadium.
