PARIS (AFP) - Paris Saint-Germain boss Laurent Blanc extended his best wishes to wantaway defender Mamadou Sakho, who is reportedly on the verge of joining Premier League side Liverpool.

"Sakho is not just anybody at PSG. He has been here, he has lived everything here, he was the symbol of the club," said Blanc following his side's 2-0 win over Guingamp on Saturday.

"I would really have liked to continue working with him but he's signalled his desire to leave the club. The board and himself have found a solution. I wish him good luck," added Blanc.

Sakho has yet to appear for PSG this season with the France international ostensibly seen as the fourth-choice centre back behind Thiago Silva, Alex and new signing Marquinhos.
