Some 300 participants took part in the first Singapore Sports School Para Games at its premises yesterday, which aim to enable persons with disabilities to be more competitive in their sporting journeys. The six sports featured at the inaugural Games were athletics, badminton, powerlifting, swimming, table tennis and bowling. To build camaraderie, the school's Values in Action initiative, Project Champions Way, brought student-athletes and staff together to raise $70,000 over the last six months. The beneficiaries were the Singapore Disability Sports Council and Special Olympics.
