SINGAPORE - The first Open Swim Stars Sunset Race attracted more than 250 participants. The event is the third open water swim to be organised by Sports Swim Organisation.

Starting at 5pm on Saturday evening, participants took part in either the 800m or 1.5km categories, swimming in the waters off the coast of the National Service Resort and Country Club (NSRCC).

All of the participants finished their races by 7pm, just in time for them to sit back and enjoy the sunset at the NSRCC Sea Sports Centre.

Harald Eltvedt, the managing partner of Sports Swim Organisation, said: "It is our aim to bring fresh and new ideas to swimmers.

"We've previously done two open water swims but this is the first time we've done it at this time of the day. The feedback has been very positive and we look forward to bringing even more exciting new events to the public."
