SINGAPORE - A petition calling on the government to conserve the sporting heritage of the soon-to-be redeveloped Farrer Park fields has been set up.

The Straits Times had reported on March 31 that the 9-ha area, where a large field, boxing gym, tennis courts and swimming complex sit, will be returned to the government by mid-2020 and is slated for residential use.
