Singapore's para-equestrians Gemma Foo and Laurentia Tan dominated the International Para-Equestrian Dressage Competition in Deauville, France, where they won all three events in their Grade 1a category for the most severely-impaired athletes.
During the three-day competition which ended on Sunday, 18-year-old Foo clinched two golds in the Freestyle and Individual Championship events and was second in the Team Test event. Tan, 34, won the Team Test to complete a Singapore sweep, and was also second in the Freestyle and sixth in the Individual Championship.
Twenty nations competed at the competition, which is considered by many as a preparation meet for August's World Equestrian Games in Normandy, France.
Said Melanie Chew, president of the Equestrian Federation of Singapore: "We hope this young team will go on to the Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro in 2016."
