SINGAPORE - The South-east Asian Games look set to be belatedly held in Hanoi in 2022, despite indifference among the Vietnamese public and complications brought about by the coronavirus pandemic.

The 31st SEA Games were originally scheduled for Nov 21-Dec 2, 2021, and were postponed in July after Vietnam experienced a surge in Covid-19 cases. No new dates were confirmed then.
