DBS, an official sponsor of the Asean Para Games, "adopted" the sport of sailing and organised a carnival at Marina Bay to raise awareness of the event.

There were also fringe activities for supporters who gathered at the place to cheer the athletes. They included about 200 guests from various community groups, including AWWA, SPD, Minds,

Society Staples, Hush TeaBar and Southwest Community Development Council, who were invited to catch a piece of the action at the Games and be exposed to various para sports such as sailing, boccia and goalball.
