Cycling: OCBC S'pore Pro Cycling's Sheppard and Goh achieve career-best UCI results

OCBC Singapore Pro Cycling Team's Eric Sheppard and Goh Choon Huat both landed career-best finishes at The Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn's Cup Tour of Thailand, which ended yesterday after six stages.

Sheppard, a 22-year-old Australian, was fifth in the General Classifications, coming in 24 seconds after winner Yasuharu Nakajima of Japan's Aisan Racing Team.

Goh, 23, was the highest Singaporean finisher at 12th.

He improved on his previous best of 15th on the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) Asia Tour, which he achieved at last year's Tour de East Java.

Said team manager Justin Cheong: "The two of them are still getting better with each race, and I'm excited to see what they can do in the future."

The team will next compete in a four-stage le Tour de Filipinas on April 21-24.
