Tall, with movie-star looks and sporting a recently dyed blond hairstyle to match his gold-medal ambitions, David Nyika is on the cusp of becoming one of New Zealand's newest box-office sports stars.

Aptly, his quest to become the first Kiwi boxer to win back-to-back Commonwealth Games titles began yesterday at the Oxenford Studios, home to several Hollywood blockbuster films.
