Bowler Javier Tan picked up Singapore's first medal in the 18th Asian Youth Tenpin Bowling Championships in Macau on Tuesday.
With a total of 1,433 pinfalls in the boys' singles, Javier edged out teammate Jaris Goh (1,410) for the bronze.
Malaysian Rafiq Ismail won the gold with a 1,615-pinfall effort while Filipino Enzo Hernandez bagged the silver on 1,480.
The girls' singles will be held tomorrow.
