Bowling: Cherie Tan is top seed for Sacramento Open step-ladder final, New Hui Fen seeded 4th

National bowler Cherie Tan will be top seed at the Sacramento Open step-ladder final.

Joining her for the May 26 showdown in Las Vegas, which will air on June 21 on CBS Sports Network in the United States, is fellow Singaporean New Hui Fen, who is the fourth seed.

Rounding out the quartet are American Shannon Pluhowsky, who is seeded second, and third seed Anggie Ramirez-Perea from Colombia.

Left-hander Tan averaged 225.83 pinfalls after the completion of the match-play stage of the competition on Saturday, at Steve Cook's Fireside Lanes in Citrus Heights, California.

Another Singaporean Shayna Ng just missed out, finishing in fifth place. Jazreel Tan ended joint 18th overall, while Cherie's sister Daphne was 37th in a field of 54.
