Xmas TV bonanza

A rematch of the championship series between the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers drew nearly 11 million television viewers in the United States, making it the most-watched National Basketball Association Christmas Day telecast since 2011.

Last Friday's game drew 10.923 million viewers on ABC, according to Fast Nationals from Nielsen.

It was up 17 per cent from the comparable Christmas Day game last year between the Cavaliers and Miami Heat.

The average audience for the Oklahoma City Thunder-Chicago Bulls game on ABC was also up from last year, averaging nearly 6 million viewers. The ABC Christmas Day double header average was up 13 per cent from last year.
