The Li-Ning Singapore Open promises to begin with a bang after two-time Olympic gold medallist Lin Dan was drawn to face sixth seed Nguyen Tien Minh of Vietnam in the opening round.

Lin, who is unseeded in the June 18-23 SuperSeries event, is also on course to take on Badminton Asia Championship winner Du Pengyu in the quarter-finals should both Chinese stars progress.
