The start of the boys' Under-nine 25m backstroke event at the Singapore Swimming Club yesterday.

The Open Invitational Midget Meet, now in its 23rd edition, is Singapore's only swimming competition for nine-year-olds and below.

Fifteen local and foreign clubs, comprising 303 participants, are competing. The meet ends today.
