AYG: Shooter Sean gets S'pore's second medal

SINGAPORE has won its first silver medal at the 2nd Asian Youth Games in Nanjing, China.

Shooter Sean Tay clinched second spot in the men's 10m air rifle on Monday, following up on team-mate Martina Veloso's bronze medal in the same event on Sunday.

The host's Wang Yuefeng beat Sean to gold with a 616.3 point total. The Singaporean scored 613.4 and Thailand's Pongsaton Panyatong was third with 619.3.

The shooting competition ends on Wednesday.
