SINGAPORE- The Republic's youth athletes have bagged four gold medals at the 11th SEA Youth Athletics Championships.
Hwa Chong Institution's Eric Yee set a new championship record in the boys' discus with a throw of 55.01m, winning him the gold medal.
Tia Rozario triumphed in the girls' long jump ewith an effort of 5.86m.
The track events also yielded two gold medals for Singapore. Lui Yuan Chow won the boys' 3000m with a timing of 9min 27.8sec while Marcell Tan finished first in the boys' 110m hurdles, clocking a time of 14.38sec.
The two-day Championships will conclude on Sunday at the Thammasat University Sports Complex in Thailand, and are open only to athletes aged 15-17.
