Singapore swimmer Darren Lim won the 50-metre freestyle gold medal at the Asian Youth Games in Nanjing on Thursday.
The 14-year-old won with a time of 23.09 seconds, ahead of Malaysia's Lim Ching Hwang (23.46) and South Korea's Kim Da San (23.47).
However, Darren, was unable to break Ang Peng Siong's longstanding national record of 22.69 set in 1982.
