The estimated 20,000 runners who took part in Sunday morning's Nike We Run SG had a special guest flag them off at the starting line - four-time Olympic champion Allyson Felix.

The 27-year-old American sprinter also cheered the runners on in the 10km race, and met the first 30 finishers who opted to run an extra 1.5km in person after the race at the F1 Pit Building.

Kenya's Elkana Kiptum Ruto, 36, won the men's 25-and-above category in 32min 18sec, Singapore's Anne Qi Hui, 33, finished first in the women's 25-and-above category in 37:28. There were four categories in all.

For the first time this year, participants were given the option of choosing their own route at three split points over the running route.
