19 additional athletes get the green light for December's SEA Games

Nineteen additional athletes have made the cut for Singapore's SEA Games squad after the appeals committee, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean, convened on Friday.

The athletes are from archery, billiards, chess, judo, sepak takraw, wushu, and swimming.

Appeals from seven sports did not get the green light. They are muay thai, volleyball, wrestling, badminton, athletics, cycling and silat.

This brings the total number of athletes who are headed for the Dec 11-22 Myanmar Games to 315. They will compete in 25 sports.
