Manpower Minister Josephine Teo said Singaporeans tend to expect a lot from themselves and want to continue other pursuits even when they become parents.

Almost half of all Singaporeans, or 45 per cent, feel they are able to meet their work, family and personal responsibilities, according to new survey findings.
This was one of the main takeaways from a series of surveys conducted online by the National Population and Talent Division.
