SINGAPORE - Attention, working adults who say they have no time to go to the library. The library will now come to them. If you happen to work around the Raffles Place Park that is.

There will be a pop-up library with books and storytelling sessions by Kamini Ramachandran at Raffles Place on Friday (Nov 25). It will be there from 11.30am to 7.30pm.

The theme for the pop-up, organised by the National Library Board (NLB) is Reading Oasis: Booked This Holiday!. Visitors will be able to borrow books about travel and leisure.

You can also find out how to access travel ebooks via the new NLB Mobile App which can help you plan for upcoming holidays. Librarians will also be on hand to offer personalised book recommendations.

The pop-up library is the first of its kind organised under the Read@Work initiative as part of the National Reading Movement. The latter is a five-year plan by NLB to nurture a nation of readers. The Read@Work initiative aims to promote reading among working adults by bringing the library to their workplace.
