Woman nabbed at Woodlands Checkpoint with more than $109,000 worth of drugs

Drugs worth more than $109,000 were seized from a Malaysian woman at Woodlands Checkpoint on Wednesday morning.

The 39-year-old motorcyclist, was entering Singapore alone when she was stopped by Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) officers conducting routine checks at about 6am.

During the search, the female ICA officers noticed that the woman was wearing two layers of undergarment.

The officers later found three bundles - 950g of heroin, 34g of 'ice', and 500 Erimin-5 tablets - wrapped in black tapes on her.

The woman was arrested and is being investigated for drug importation. If convicted, she may face the death penalty.
