SINGAPORE – An 81-year-old woman was taken to the hospital after the car she was driving was involved in an accident with a minibus and turned turtle on Aug 18.

The police said it was alerted to an accident involving a car and a minibus in Upper Thomson Road towards Braddell Road at 8.55am.

The woman was conscious when she was taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

A 55-year-old male minibus driver is assisting with investigations, which are ongoing, they added.

Video footage of the aftermath of the accident shows a red car overturned on a pavement with one of its doors flung open. Nearby, a person is lying on a stretcher placed on the road, with Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) officers crouched on the ground.

A stationary white minibus can be seen near the red car, and bits of debris can also be seen on the road. A fire engine is stationed ahead of the minibus.
