Woman charged with using criminal force on another on board a bus

A woman has been charged with three counts of using criminal force on another woman on board a bus in April.

Poh Sim Ying, 26, allegedly committed the three offences against the 25-year-old passenger on Service 106 while it was travelling along Commonwealth Avenue West between 3.10pm and 3.20pm on April 15. She is accused of touching the woman's hair, holding her hands and placing her arm around and caressing her waist.

She allegedly snatched the woman's activated shrill alarm and then allegedly tried to kiss her.

Her lawyer sought an adjournment to make representations. If convicted, she could be jailed for up to three months and/or fined up to $500 on each charge. The case will be mentioned again on July 16.
