The winning design for the Founders' Memorial should support community activities and convey a story that resonates with Singaporeans, said local urban planners and architects.

Five designs by local and international architecture firms have been shortlisted for the memorial, which will honour Singapore's pioneer leaders and chart the country's key milestones and stories from post-World War II to the first few decades of independence.
