Administrative assistant Siti Salena Samat was told that she was fat after a first date via a text message.

But instead of vowing never to see the man again, the 35-year-old ended up marrying him two and a half years later. Her husband, delivery driver Mr Mohd Zahid, 36, had sent the text message to her by accident, about how she was twice as big as he was.

Their story was one of two entries that won the Singapore Press Holdings' CATS Classified Valentine's Day Lovelines, as it best illustrated the theme "My Funny Valentine."

A total of 261 entries were submitted.

"When I read the message, I wasn't angry. I was smiling!" said Ms Siti who submitted the entry.

"When we first met, we had an interesting way of interacting with each other. It's not lovey dovey- we're more like friends who joke with each other. Even now, we are still like that," she added.

The couple who have been married for eight years, won a night's stay at the W Singapore hotel, a spa treat at Away spa, and a meal at W Singapore's grill restaurant.
