The high point of classical Indian dancer Nishalini Lakchimanathas' National Day Parade (NDP) experience was in 2009, when she danced near the top of a towering nine-storey grid filled with performers.
"I was in a cubicle on the eighth storey," recalls the 27-year-old, a dancer with Bhaskar's Arts Academy. "It was actually quite scary. We were told by the choreographer to dance near the edges of the cubicles, because they were doing some lighting effects.
