What it should have been

Some of our earlier reports on the hepatitis C outbreak in the renal ward of Singapore General Hospital (SGH) had said that at least 21 kidney patients were infected at the ward while another patient "could be the index case that brought the virus to the ward". The Straits Times would like to clarify that there has been no conclusive evidence about the index case thus far. So all 22 are being considered as infection cases.
