Our report on Monday, "Pasir Ris residents 'cry fowl' after AVA culling", said residents were angry at the killing of chickens in the Sungei Api Api area in Pasir Ris barely a month after the authorities took similar action in Sin Ming estate in Thomson.

The Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority (AVA) has clarified that the operations to manage the chicken population in the Sungei Api Api area happened around the same time as that in Sin Ming. AVA did not take any action in the Sungei Api Api area recently.
