Veteran orchid breeder 'Uncle David' dies aged 73

SINGAPORE - The veteran botanist David Lim - "Uncle David" to his many admirers - who brought life into many new orchid hybrids here has died.

Mr Lim, who was 73, created a wide range of hybrids which will live on for generations of Singaporeans to enjoy.
