SINGAPORE - The Commander of the United States Pacific Air Forces, General Lori Robinson, called on Singapore's Air Force Chief, Major-General Hoo Cher Mou, on Monday afternoon at the Defence Ministry, where she also inspected a Guard of Honour.
As part of her four-day introductory tour, she will visit Sembawang Air Base on Tuesday. She will be speaking to students the next day at the Goh Keng Swee Command and Staff College as part of its distinguished speakers programme, on Wednesday.
Gen Robinson's visit underscores the excellent and long-standing defence ties between Singapore and United States, the Defence Ministry said in a statement on Monday.
Both air forces interact regularly through a wide range of activities including visits, professional exchanges and bilateral exercises, which have, in turn, improved professional relations, it added.
Gen Robinson leaves Singapore on Wednesday .
