Two men were charged separately on Friday with molestation on public transport.

Toh Boon Cheong, 52, is alleged to have rubbed himself against the hip of a 16-year-old girl on board an MRT train travelling from Choa Chu Kang to Bukit Gombak MRT station on Jan 15. He was arrested on Thursday at Choa Chu Kang station and is being remanded at Jurong Police Division for a week for further investigation.

In the same court, Nooraman Mohd Noor, 45, is accused of molesting a 19-year-old male on board an SBS Transit bus travelling along Havelock Road on Feb 13. Nooraman, who sports long hair, will be remanded at Tanglin Police Division until March 1.

Both men are believed to be involved in other similar cases. The maximum penalty for outrage of modesty is two years' jail, fine and caning.
