Two men arrested for Geylang slashing incident

Police arrested two men on Tuesday for causing grievous hurt with dangerous weapons, following a slashing incident on Jan 4 that left a man critically injured.

The first suspect was arrested at 3.40pm at Jurong West, and the second man was arrested five hours later at an Ang Mo Kio flat. Both suspects are 42 years old.

After the slashing at 1.15am last Friday, police said they conducted extensive enquiries and established the identities of the two suspects within 24 hours.

If convicted, the duo face life imprisonment, and may also be liable for caning and a fine.
