The police arrested two men aged 19 and 20 on Thursday for their suspected involvement in a case of housebreaking and theft at a restaurant along Hyderabad Road.

Their identities were established after officers from the Clementi Police Division conducted extensive enquiries into a report lodged by the victim about six missing bottles of alcohol worth about $223.90 on Jan 17.

If convicted, they face up to 14 years imprisonment.
