A construction truck was badly smashed after it slammed into the back of a trailer that had stopped in Changi Coast Road yesterday morning. The truck's driver said he had been following another truck closely and when that truck switched lanes, he did not notice the stationary trailer in front and crashed into it. The Straits Times understands that the trailer, which was carrying two bulldozers, had stopped on the left lane as it had a punctured tyre. The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) was alerted to the accident at around 10.40am. A man in his 30s who had minor injuries refused to be taken to hospital, an SCDF spokesman said. It was not clear which driver had been injured.
