Singapore Airlines will fly the Airbus 380 superjumbo to the Indian cities of Mumbai and New Delhi from May 30.

With the change, the carrier will fly twice daily to each city.

Currently, SIA operates three flights a day to Mumbai and the same number to New Delhi using the smaller Boeing 777-200 aircraft.

SIA currently flies its A-380 planes to 11 cities including Hong Kong, Shanghai, Sydney and Los Angeles.

The Singapore carrier was the first in the world to fly the double-decker jet commercially in October 2007.
