SINGAPORE - A track point fault between Yishun and Sembawang MRT stations on the North-South Line lasted over three hours on May 11, causing delays to commuters along the three-station stretch.

Operator SMRT said on social media platform X at about 5.40pm that normal train service has resumed, and the track point fault has been cleared.

The operator first advised passengers to factor in an additional 10 minutes of travel time when commuting between Yishun and Sembawang stations at about 2.25pm.

At 3.22pm, it advised passengers travelling towards Orchard and Marina South Pier to take the Thomson-East Coast Line at Woodlands station.

“We apologise for the delay to your journey,” it said, adding that it was working on resolving the issue.
