Five more privately-run bus services will roll out this month to support feeder buses during peak periods.
The so-called Peak Period Short Services (PPSS) will serve Pasir Ris, Tampines and Choa Chu Kang.
Services 358P and 359P will start plying in Pasir Ris from June 10, services 291P and 293P will start from June 24, wile service 307P will roll out in Choa Chu Kang on June 30.
These services will overlay existing feeder services 291, 293, 307, 358 and 359 to connect residents to nearby bus interchanges and MRT stations.
All five will operate at least five trips per hour during morning and evening peak periods, excluding public holidays. More trips may be added if demand picks up. Fares are the same as those charged by SBS Transit and SMRT.
With the introduction of these services, nine PPSS would have been implemented by June 2014.
