More flights from Changi as demand soars

SINGAPORE - From Monday (Oct 29), travellers can fly direct from Changi Airport to the Indonesian island of Belitung, known for tin mines as well as beaches, via a new 90-minute service by Garuda Indonesia.

From December, they will also be able to fly directly to Pune, a city in the western Indian state of Maharashtra, on a new 5½ hour air link launched by Indian carrier Jet Airways.
