SINGAPORE - A recent in-app announcement that bike-sharing firm Mobike will refund some user deposits and wallet balances is "entirely separate" from the firm's plans to exit Singapore.

Instead, the refunds were made worldwide as part of Mobike's migration process to a single payment platform, Mobike International's head of public relations Steve Milton told The Straits Times on Tuesday (May 28).
