Expect heavy traffic at the Woodlands and Tuas checkpoints between Thursday and Sunday because of the Good Friday public holiday.

The Immigration and Checkpoints Authority said it expects large numbers of travellers to use the checkpoints at the same time.

For departures from Singapore, traffic at both checkpoints is expected to be especially heavy on Thursday, Apr 17. So travellers leaving from Woodlands Checkpoint are advised to use public transport and not to walk into the checkpoint via the link bridge during the peak period.

Traffic arriving into Singapore is expected to be particularly heavy on Sunday, Apr 20.

For more updates on traffic conditions over the long weekend, travellers can call the traffic information hotline at 6863-0117, listen to TrafficWatch on the radio or visit the Land Transport Authority's One Motoring website (www.onemotoring.com.sg) or MyTransport.SG portal (mytransport.SG).
